# IBAN validator

Validates one IBAN or a bulk list against country length and structure, showing the mod 97 check working step by step.

Every check runs in this tab and nothing is uploaded. The mod 97 step is the ISO 7064 check over the whole IBAN; a pass means the number is internally consistent and the country length and structure match the registry. It does not prove the account exists, and it does not re-check national check digits that live inside the BBAN (a Luhn digit in Finland, 7-3-1 in Estonia, national modulus checks in Denmark, Hungary, Norway and Sweden); those are flagged as footnotes instead of fake passes.
