Matching is case-sensitive, always. - A leading ! makes a pattern an EXCLUSION: a path matching both a positive and a negative pattern is excluded. This is implemented explicitly here — picomatch’s own multi-pattern matcher ORs the verdicts instead of excluding (measured, pinned in tests). - Dotfiles stay hidden from * and ** until you turn on the toggle — gitignore’s rule, stated. - Every run executes in the bounded dev family worker: caps of 100 patterns and 256 KB of paths, a 2,000 -row listing with the TRUE counts always shown, and a 5 -second deadline.
