Tip is the bill times the percent, total is bill plus tip, and each share divides the total evenly with exact values kept whole. When the total does not divide evenly, the per-person figures carry the remainder rather than hiding it, so a table can settle up instead of arguing over a rounded number. There is no currency symbol here: the tool works on plain amounts, so 80 means 80 of whatever the bill is denominated in.
