# Square footage calculator

Total floor area room by room for rectangles, L-shapes, circles and triangles, subtracting cut-outs, with waste allowance and cost estimate.

This is raw geometry over the numbers you type. It is not a measurement to ANSI Z765, IPMS or RICS rules, which is what listed-property floor areas are held to, and it does not handle curves; split an odd room into extra rows instead. Conversions are exact (1 ft = 0.3048 m, 1 sq yd = 9 sq ft) and only the display rounds. Everything is worked out in this tab and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
