The estimate counts six editable rows plus photos and videos, and the photo size and video bitrate are assumptions you can overwrite, not figures read off your account. The headline is decimal GB, the unit Apple labels plans in (1 GB is 1,000,000,000 bytes); GiB figures in brackets are binary and always read smaller for the same bytes. The months-to-full forecast is straight-line: remaining space divided by the monthly growth you enter, with no seasonality. The tool never signs in to iCloud.
