Press Start tuning, allow the microphone, then pluck a string. The tuner names the note and how many cents it sits from pitch. G4392.0 HzC4261.6 HzE4329.6 HzA4440.0 HzIn standard GCEA and D tuning the fourth string sounds above the third, so the string list is not sorted low to high. Auto-detect compares your pitch against every open string directly, so the re-entrant ordering does not confuse it. Detection follows the string's fundamental, not its loudest harmonic, so a high G reads as a high G even when the second harmonic is stronger. It hears 120 to 1,000 Hz and names an octave when your pitch lands an octave from the matched string. Tone length is capped at 4 seconds. This is an ear and meter aid: no strobe display, no custom or capo tunings, and no vibrating-string pickup input.
