# Internet archive audio downloader

Paste an archive.org details or download link, the tool reads the item's public metadata, lists the audio files with their licences, and saves the chosen file after rights confirmation.

Paste an archive.org item link and press Read the item.

This tool reads the Archive's own metadata and offers only what the Archive itself offers as downloadable; a track that merely plays on the site is not treated as downloadable. Files come down byte for byte, with no re-encoding, capped at 200 MB per file: long concert recordings in FLAC often pass that ceiling, and the tool will say so rather than hand you a cut-off file. One item at a time, no collection-wide downloads, and the licence the item declares is shown so you can honour it.
