Your files stay on your device Bass guitar tuner Play reference tones for each bass string and tune by ear, or let the microphone name the note and how far off it is. Press Start tuning, allow the microphone, then pluck a string. The tuner names the note and how many cents it sits from pitch. E141.2 HzA155.0 HzD273.4 HzG298.0 HzThe low B on five and six string sets sounds at 30.9 Hz, below what many laptop and phone microphones pick up. If it will not register, tune that string by ear against the E string, or touch the string lightly above the twelfth fret and pluck there: the harmonic sounds an octave higher, and the tuner reads that fine. Detection follows the string's fundamental, not its loudest harmonic, so a low B reads as a low B even when the second harmonic is stronger. Tone length is capped at 4 seconds.
